At right, Capitaine Potic Rider lays down the rule to the Basile Mardi Gras assembled at the Pig Barn early in the morning. The courir headed out about 7 a.m. on a foggy road. As the photos on this page demonstrate, the Basile Mardi Gras are second to none in begging and prankspretending to to steal furniture, reclining in wrecked cars, climbing light poles, and generally keeping the co-capitaines busy with their whips. |
